The Nordic Olympiad in Informatics 2020
The Nordic Olympiad in Informatics (NOI) is a programming competition for high school students in almost the same format as the Baltic Olympiad in Informatics and the International Olympiad in Informatics. Students from the five Nordic countries, Sweden, Iceland, Finland, Norway, and Denmark participate in the competition.

Practical information
NOI 2020 will take place Wednesday, March 4, 2020, from 13.00 to 18.00 (CET). The competition is available online, but participating countries may have on-site events for their participants. NOI 2020 is hosted by Denmark, please contact us on noi2020@danskdatalogidyst.dk, in case of questions.

Signup has closed.. You sign up by entering your information. Afterward, you will receive an e-mail with a direct link to the submission system. Please keep this link secret, and save it somewhere, so you can easily access it during the competition. If you are not an eligible participant (i.e. not selected by your national organizers to participate), but still want to see/try out the problems, please indicate this during the sign-up. Only eligible participants can obtain medals. Make sure to sign up in good time before the contest start, so that you are ready from the beginning.
Clarifications
All clarification requests during the competition should be sent to noi2020@danskdatalogidyst.dk. All questions that lead to a general clarification will be published here, and when appropriate, a note will also be added at the top of the corresponding problem description in the submission system. (Thus, make sure to check this page regularly during the contest - we apologize for the lack of a notification system)
- What is the maximum allowed submission size? 50KB
- Am I allowed to look at code i have written before? No, we try to follow the rules of BOI/IOI which means you should start writing your code from scratch, and that you cannot look on your old code in general.
- How to submit a clarification request? Send an e-mail to noi2020@danskdatalogidyst.dk.
Rules
The following rules apply to the competition. Rules are subject to change until the day of the competition.
- The competition lasts 5 hours and consists of 3 problems.
- All tasks must be solved individually.
- It is NOT allowed to search for information in books or on the internet, or to communicate with others during the competition (obviously, you are still allowed to send clarification requests to us).
- You are allowed to use the internet version of the official programming language reference for your programming language.
- Solutions can be submitted in at least C/C++, Java 13, or Python 3.8 (there is no guarantee that all problems can be solved in all languages, however, we do our best to ensure that this is the case).
- Problems are divided into subtasks and solving an entire subtask will give a specific number of points.
- Participants are ranked based on the total number of points obtained.
- Virtual gold, silver, bronze will be rewarded as usual.
- Results will not be published until shortly after the competition ends (i.e. there will be no public live scoreboard as at the BOI/IOI).
- Test data and solutions will be published not earlier than 2 weeks after the end of the competition (to allow participants to continue working on problems after the 5 hours deadline)
- You can submit solutions after the end of the contest; however, these will not count in your official score.
